I feel like guests overlook some of the delicious breakfast options that Disney World offers so, I put together a list of 10 not to miss Disney breakfast reservations. Since our list is filled with many breakfast spots that are popular, we recommend making reservations early!
This is one of my all time favorites because I can’t get enough of their Tonga Toast. Kona Cafe can be found on the second floor of the Polynesian. It’s open to the main area of the lobby and has a bright and airy feel. It’s one of those hidden gems that you pass by all the time when you get off the monorail. The Hawaiian coffee served here is so popular that they even sell bags of it so you can bring it home to enjoy. Not a coffee drinker? Don’t worry there is another must drink at Kona, the Lilikoi Juice. It’s the perfect blend of passionfruit, orange, and guava juices and trust me you will be trying to figure out how to make it once you get back home. Dishes you must try while here: Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes, Tonga Toast, and The Big Kahuna.
This breakfast buffet is far from traditional. While you can find your standard Mickey waffles and muffins here there are tons of options unique to Boma. Chris and I were obsessed with their cheese scrambled eggs here, we may have even gone back for thirds?! While selections do vary other options here can be, Quinoa, Turkey Bobotie, Pap, Carved Breakfast Ham, and French Toast Bread Pudding.
Be Our Guest
A huge part of the rank of Be Our Guest is the theming. Disney did an outstanding job on the details inside this dining location. We recommend walking around before you leave and catching all the hidden details like the enchanted rose in the West Wing. Something to keep in mind if you are on the Disney Dining Plan, Be Our Guest counts as a quick service credit for breakfast. This breakfast location is a pre-fixed meal so, you have a drink included your choice of entree and a mix of pastries are brought to your table as well.
At the Wave for breakfast, you have a choice of ordering off the menu or eating from the buffet. On the buffet, you will find items like Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Cheese Grits, Eggs Benedict with Key Lime Hollandaise and of course Mickey Waffles! The Wave is packed with loads of great breakfast options and the perfect pick for a day you plan to go to the Magic Kingdom. You can follow the walking path from the Contemporary lobby straight to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom.
Ohana is a character dining location during breakfast. This is a great spot to meet Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, and Mickey. Just like dinner, everything is served family style at Ohana. The food options for breakfast are pretty traditional at this location.
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Fair warning there is nothing whisper quite about this location. If you are soda fan you will love their drink cups. Last time I ate here for breakfast my waiter decided to give me a tiara and filled my hair with straws. They have so much fun with you here it sure to leave your family with lasting memories.
This location is a character meal for breakfast and lunch. So you will find Mickey, Minnie, Donald and friends joining in on your breakfast fun. This location serves unlimited amounts of Jungle Juice which is a favorite of ours. You can purchase Jungle Jungle slushies at the cart across from this restaurant and it is the perfect way to cool down on a hot day. This location, like Boma, offers lots of unique flavors from Africa in addition to traditional breakfast staples.
Trail’s End often gets overlooked because it is off the beaten path at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds but the food is well worth the trip. You will find it all the way at the back of the campgrounds, it’s actually quickest to get there from the Magic Kingdom resort boat launches. The prices are reasonable here and the food and so good. We enjoy dining here for dinner as well!
We are back at the Contemporary again for another solid breakfast location, Chef Mickey’s. This location has to be the most popular character dining location on Walt Disney World property. Here you will find the entire Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto)! As for the food, Chef Mickey’s offers the standard breakfast fare of, eggs, waffles, pastries, fruit, granola and more! Again, we highly recommend making this Disney breakfast reservation 180 days out from your trip.
This is Disney World’s only rotating restaurant. You slowly will rotate during your meal and catch views of living with the land well as some of your favorite Disney characters. The breakfast is served family style and is all you care to eat.
